PROMO OVERVIEW:
The Scan Na Lang Po promo aims to make GCash Scan to Pay a habit in everyday Filipino transactions by leveraging everyday micro-merchant touchpoints, starting with tricycles.
CONSUMER OFFER:
Customers can ride tricycles for PHP 5 only when they scan to pay using GCash.
Eligible PHP 5 Services:
Tricycles: 2-way ride (a user can avail of the trike ride twice per day)
WHO ARE QUALIFIED TO JOIN?: All Verified GCash users currently residing in the Philippines,
Dasmariñas City, Cavite (Barangay Paliparan and Burol) are eligible to join the promo
WHO ARE DISQUALIFIED TO JOIN?: All GCash employees are disqualified from joining this promo.
OVERVIEW: All eligible GCash users can avail of the PHP 5 promo upon payment via GCash QR code for
participating merchants from Jan 26-31, 2026.
TRICYCLES: PHP 5 PAMASAHE Promo Mechanics
- Passengers will be charged only PHP 5 per tricycle ride for the entire promo duration.
- Promo is valid only when the designated PHP 5 GCash promo QR is used for payment.
- Promo duration is from Jan. 26 to 31, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Passenger Flow & Fare Process
- Passenger boards the tricycle and pays PHP 5 only via GCash QR Code before riding.
- The transaction is capped at 2 rides per user per day.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- Each unique customer may only avail of the PHP 5 promo according to usage limits:
- Promo is valid only for transactions paid via GCash QR Codes pre-set to PHP 5, found in TODA terminals and trikes.
- Promo cannot be converted to cash, exchanged for other goods, or transferred.
- Users agree that their name and mobile number may be used for verification and benefit fulfillment.
- Only Fully Verified GCash accounts may join. All transactions are subject to verification.
- GCash will never ask for passwords, MPINs, OTPs, or SIM cards.
- Customers must comply with merchant flow guidelines:
- TODA: Eligible PHP 5 rides must be paid via PHP 5 QR
- Backend eligibility:
- Only rides assigned under the official PHP 5 promo allocations qualify
- Transactions outside the unique promo QR codes will not qualify
- TODA compliance is required for subsidy release
- GCash may withhold or cancel benefits for fraudulent, abusive, or non-compliant transactions, including:
- Using multiple accounts to exceed limits
- QR manipulation
- TODA misreporting
- GCash may validate availments via internal checks, Third Party Agency reports, and merchant/TODA logs.
- The PHP 5 promo cannot be combined with other discounts, including but not limited to senior citizen, PWD (Person with Disability), or other government-mandated discounts.
- Goods are limited and subject to daily allocation. Once capped, regular pricing resumes.
- Disputes regarding eligibility or compliance will be resolved by GCash with DTI oversight.
