GCash respects your right to privacy and is committed to protecting the security and confidentiality of your personal information. We are bound to comply with the Data Privacy Act (DPA) of 2012 (RA 10173), its implementing rules and regulations, and relevant issuances of the National Privacy Commission. We adopt reasonable organizational, physical and technical measures to prevent the loss, misuse, and alteration of your personal data under our control.

When you apply for discounted fares, we collect the following information:
In addition to the above, we will also process the Name and Selfie associated with your GCash Account. These will be processed along with your submitted ID to verify the identity of the person applying for the discounted fares.
Your personal data will be shared with the Department of Transportation’s MRT3 Operations Team who will approve or reject the discounted fare application.
The image of your Student or PWD ID will only be kept for a period of 30 days or until it serves its purpose, all other personal information processed or collected in relation to your application will be kept for 5 years, unless we are legally required to keep it for a longer period. After this period, we shall securely dispose of your personal information, unless we are legally required to keep it for a longer duration.
All data collected through this typeform will be securely stored and protected. We take reasonable steps to secure your personal data from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorized access, modification, and unauthorized disclosure by implementing security measures within GCash. Only authorized personnel have access to these personal data.
We uphold your privacy rights under the DPA and we will handle your requests to access, delete, or correct your personal data.
