- Starting April 1, 2018, a unique customer can earn up to P1000 in total cumulative cashbacks coming from GCash QR transactions in GCash QR merchants. If the total cumulative cashback cap has been met anytime within the month, the unique customer will only begin earning cashbacks again at the next calendar month during the promo period. Unique customers are defined per unique device ID. Account(s) or SIM(s) used under one device will be treated as one unique customer.
- Earned cashbacks from this promotion will be counted in the unique customer’s total cumulative cashbacks for the month.
- Only GCash QR transactions are eligible for the cashback promotion; customer has to pay the full amount to the merchant (cashback to be credited by GCash)

4. Who are eligible to join the promo?
Open to all existing and new GCash users who will be purchasing in participating GCash merchants via GCash QR. Not yet a GCash subscriber? Register to GCash now by downloading the GCash App or by dialing *143#, select GCash and register.
5. How can I get the cashback?
Cashback will be credited to the customer’s GCash wallet within 3 working days after the transaction.
6. Is there a cap on the cashback?
Yes. Cashback is capped at P100 per store per day. Total cumulative cashbacks is capped at P1,000 per user per month. For example:
- Customer scans to pay P5000 at a participating GCash QR merchant. Customer will receive P100 cashback. On the same day, customer scans to pay P1500 at a different participating GCash QR merchant. Customer will receive another P100 cashback.
- On April 25, customer has already earned P1000 in total GCash QR cashback from April 1-30. Customer will begin to earn cashbacks again on May 1.
7. What happens to my succeeding transactions?
Succeeding transactions will all be eligible for the 10% capped at P100 per store per day.
8. Is there a minimum transaction amount to get the cashback?
The minimum transaction amount is P1. This is the lowest amount that can be paid via GCash QR.
9. Can this promo coincide with any other promos/discounts (PWDs/Senior)?
Yes, as long as a GCash QR transaction is made. (e.g Seniors are entitled to a 10% discount. If customer pays for the discounted amount with GCash QR, then that customer’s transaction amount is entitled to the cashback). However, this promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other existing GCash QR cashback promotions.
10. Can this promo coincide with other promotions of the merchant?
Yes, as long as a GCash QR transaction is made. (e.g Merchant A has a 50% sale. If customer pays for the discounted amount with GCash QR, then that customer’s transaction amount is entitled to the cashback). However, this promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other existing GCash QR cashback promotions.

12. How do I use GCash QR?
- Download the GCash App on your smartphone and sign up, or update the GCash App to the latest version and login.
- Click “Pay QR” on the dashboard, then click “Scan QR Code” to access the QR scanner. You can also swipe left from the dashboard to access the scanner immediately.
- Scan the participating merchant’s QR code during payment.
- Input the amount to be paid as stated by the cashier.
- Confirm the payment details of the transaction.
- Upon success of payment, an SMS will be received by the customer and the merchant front liner indicating that payment has been done.
13. The cashier did not receive an SMS upon purchase and asked me to pay in cash but my GCash got deducted, what will I do?
Merchants can call our dedicated merchant hotline in case something like this happens. As a customer, you can call our hotline at 2882 to ask for assistance as well.

- For merchants, dial 2882 and select the third option (“For GCash QR”)
